Adelphi University Selects Advance2000 for IP Telephony.

Serving a student population of more than 8,300 undergraduates and graduates, Adelphi University has a main campus in Garden City Long Island with other facilities in New York City, Hauppauge, and Poughkeepsie. Schools and major programs include the College of Arts and Sciences; the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies; the Honors College; the School of Business; the Ruth S. Ammon School of Education; the School of Nursing; the School of Social Work; and Adult Academic Programs in University College. The new maintenance contract with Advance 2000 is for the network across the four systems of the multiple campuses with over 3000 active ports. The existing IP backbone utilizes a mix of digital and analog Cisco handsets for both administration and the dormitory student population. This year will see the upgrading the existing systems and the replacing of the current distributed model to a centralized approach.
